Kasper Opstrup is a researcher and writer specializing in hybrids of art/literature, occultism and radical politics as counter-culture and underground phenomenons. He has a PhD from the London Consortium, Birkbeck College, University of London (2013).
His book The Way Out - Invisible Insurrections and Radical Imaginaries in the UK Underground 1961-1991 will be published by Minor Compositions / Autonomedia in July 2017.
Currently, he is working on a Novo Nordisk-supported postdoctoral project entitled An Imaginary Kingdom in the Wastelands of the Real - On Art, esotericism and the Politics of Hope which examines an aesthetic current of mystical utopianism throughout the 20th century from surrealism to the contemporary. It is expected to be published in book form in early 2019.
