Listening Yet-to-Come: Research Article Titles for Listening
Talk by Lukas Lund (Copenhagen, DK), Colloquium Sound & Sensory Studies.
Abstract
This presentation introduces "Listening Yet-to-Come: Research Article Titles for Listening", an ongoing exploration of how listening might be imagined, researched, and practiced otherwise. Drawing on the poetic and critical practice of 'imagining research', the talk reflects on the political and ecological conditions that shape what can, and cannot, be imagined as research projects within sound studies today. Through a series of speculative, poetic, and suggestive research-article titles, the project opens a space for thinking beyond established disciplinary logics, proposing listening as a site of methodological experimentation and future-making.
The session will combine conceptual framing with a performative reading of selected titles, inviting participants to consider how imagining research may itself become a critical auditory practice.
