My research involves (and I advise students in) the long twentieth-century, especially issues concerning the historical avant-gardes, abstraction, activism, feminism and gender, exhibition histories, and provocations of the canon. My work harnesses Danish and Nordic art history as a starting point for larger ruminations on the condition of art history today.
