As an art historian my primary field of research is art and architecture from late antiquity until c. 1600, historically and theoretically, and with a focus on Italy and Denmark. Presently, I am working on various projects regarding the relation between art, and nature, and technology, taking my point of departure in material culture studies.
Moreover, I work with contemporary art and architecture as well as museology and problems of cultural heritage.
My teaching covers the same areas as my research as well as various survey courses. Moreover, I supervise students at all levels, including ph.d.-students.
