What would it mean to approach translation and borders otherwise as artistic research? What is at stake in this proposition and what aesthetic forms might it take? These questions have not only been my motivation, but they have also served as an engine, continuously fueling and pushing the scope and depth of my PhD project in artistic research.The aim of this dissertation has been to explore how translation and borders otherwise as artistic research can manifest as resistance but also as a site for mutual recognition, dialogue, and collective emergence.
