The foundation has emphasised the breadth of her publications and methodological approaches, e.g. phenomenology, feminism, ecocriticism and materiality. She has published works on Virginia Woolf, Robert Musil, Adalbert Stifter, Herman Melville, Paul Celan, Samuel Beckett and Sylvia Plath, to name but a few, and is actively involved in the debate on the place of literature and humanity in nature and society.

In 2024, she received a large Carlsberg Semper Ardens Accelerate grant for the project "Grey Matters: Ecocritical Potentials of Lithic Aesthetics" and is now exploring the place of stones in ecocriticism from the 19th century onwards.

- She is thus, in the most excellent way, a young humanist in constant development and an important humanistic voice in the social debate, the foundation writes in its announcement.

The award will be presented at the annual celebration in memory of Einar Hansen on 18 November 2025.
