Some Historical Perspectives about Agent Models and the Role of Biotechnology
My talk offers an examination of some aspects of longue-durée historico-cultural developments of agent models in the West from Descartes to Auguste Comte, before turning to the first half of the twentieth century to examine the relation between agent models of interaction and biotechnology.
