The Drama of UCPH’s Digital Infrastructure

How to describe our digital infrastructure? Is it like a big worm at the bottom of the ocean? Or a heat-spewing dragon on a cold mountain? Is it a window that Trump can peek in through when he wants to know what is going on at the University of Copenhagen? And what happens when these different characters and objects meet in an emerging dramatic text, written by us?

In this workshop, we will explore the University of Copenhagen's digital infrastructure by combining knowledge sharing and dramatic co-writing. We will combine our different perspectives to expand our knowledge on the digital infrastructure which creates, holds, and frames UCPH. Through a series of writing exercises, we will together develop infrastructural characters and place them in a dramatic setting, as a vehicle for sharing knowledge across disciplines and practices. With this, we wish to develop a script that will provide a new look at the digital infrastructure that we all depend on.

The script will be published under CC BY-SA 4.0, and each participant decides individually how and if they want to be co-credited.

The seminar is open to everyone: students, academic and administrative staff, as well as anyone interested in the topic from outside the institution. We are interested in inviting a variety of perspectives, and no prior knowledge is required or expected. At the seminar, you are welcome to write in whatever language you’re most comfortable.
