Three new chapbooks in the series Kunsten som forum på tryk
Three new contributions to the series "Kunsten som forum på tryk" are presented by The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in collaboration with Art as Forum, New Carlsberg Foundation's research Centre at the University of Copenhagen
The series invites Danish-speaking readers into ongoing conversations about art and its communities in the broadest sense. This takes the form of the publication of selected contributions from the Centre's lecture series and other events, where both local and international researchers and artists contribute with new knowledge about art and commonality.
Chapbook number 9, 10 and 11 in the series are written by aesthetic theorist and performance scholar Josefine Wikström, media thinker and ‘variantologist’ Siegfried Zielinski and media artist, researcher and curator Kristoffer Gansing. Addressing the topics of the double subject of modern experimental dance, various forms of collaborative production practices in the arts, and the last three decades of digital, networked art, respectively, the new publications offer three very different glimpses into recent discussions about the relationship between artistic practice and the infrastructural conditions that supports the communities that can arise in, around or behind the arts.
Art as a Forum in print is published in a lightweight pocket size for anyone who wants to gain a deeper insight into the current landscape of the study of culture.
The whole series can be ordered online and the three new editions can be found on the shelves of Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Academic Books and other selected bookstores.
