Jacob Kreutzfeldt, cultural consultant and researcher

Jacob Kreutzfeldt received the JSPS Postdoctoral Scholarship (Short-term) in connection with a research visit at The Urban Research Plaza, Osaka City University in April 2009. The purpose of the visit was to collect material for the PhD project on acoustic territoriality and sound design in urban space. The visit was the second of three research stays in Japan: first as research student on a Monbukagabusho scholarship (2004-2006), and later as research for the exhibition “Simple interactions. Sound Art from Japan (Museum of Contemporary Art Roskilde 2011). 

Jacob Kreutzfeldt is cultural consultant and researcher, PhD in Modern Culture and Communication and Head of Struer Tracks – Urban Sound Art Festival. He was Assistant Professor, Postdoc and PhD at the Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, the University of Copenhagen (2006-2016), Principal Investigator in the Hera-financed Transnational Radio Encounters (2013-2016) and managing member of the national cross disciplinary LARM Audio Research Archive (2010-2014). Kreutzfeldt is member of the board of JSPS Alumni Club DK.
