In a limited perspective, cultural policies appear as tools for administration of the arts. In a broader sense cultural policy deals with class of interests and history of ideas, institutional struggles and economical and political power relations in the production and circulation of symbolic meanings in society.
If we choose this broad definition of cultural policy the current issues relating to identity, nationalism and cultural policy seems to be one of the most huge and proper dimension in cultural policy to investigate just now in Europe and globally.
