Language of instruction
A completed Bachelor of Arts in one of the following fields: art history, comparative literature, musicology, film and media studies, and theatre research.
The Master of Arts in Visual Culture is a two-year study programme. 1½ years (90 ECTS) consists of a mixture of required courses and more specialised courses, which the student can choose. The amount and subject matter of the courses vary from semester to semester. The study programme is concluded with a thesis (worth 30 ECTS).
Graduates with an MA in Visual Culture Studies are typically employed in digital media, design, communication, and advertising. The graduate will be competent to work in any occupation that requires knowledge of the field of visual communication, be it public or private.
