Walter Benjamin's keywords

Philosopher and writer Walter Benjamin (1892-1940) used to give radio talks to children. Celebrating a Danish translation published by Forlaget Senmund, an international conference "Walter Benjamin's Keywords" / "Walter Benjamins stikord" will take place on Thursday 12 October from 2 pm to 7 pm at the South Campus of the University of Copenhagen, room 27.0.09.

Each of the eight speakers from Italy, Germany and Denmark selected one of Benjamin's keywords in the radio talks, in order to provide insight into Benjamin's multifaceted thinking, text and tone - topical in the interwar period as well as today. 

The keywords selected are: stamp collecting, stars, barracks, violence, redemption, consolation, railroad, pharmacist.

Speakers: Andrea Borsari, Casper Løwenstein, Erik Granly Jensen, Henrik Reeh, Jacob Bittner, Lilian Munk Rösing, Mikkel Bolt, Hermann Schmid.
